How to prepare coffee in the AeroPress coffee maker?

Step 1
With the help of a scale or a measuring spoon, separate the amount of coffee you wish to add, always depending on how you like your coffee. Generally, this amount ranges between 16 and 24 grams.

If the coffee is not ground, you will need a manual grinder to grind the coffee in a medium-fine size. It is essential to obtain a uniform and even grind that allows the coffee to be completely extracted while it infuses.

One of the advantages of the AeroPress coffee maker is that it allows you to "play" with different amounts of coffee, temperatures, and brewing times.

Step 2
Add to the AeroPress the amount of coffee you have previously separated.

Step 3
Heat water in a kettle or kettle. It is recommended that, before adding the water, you infuse the coffee for about 30 seconds, pouring a little hot water.

Now add the rest of the hot water to the infusion chamber, that is, in the tube in which the coffee and water are mixed. Let it infuse for about 1 minute and a half.

Be careful not to fill the infusion chamber to the very edge, so that it does not overflow when you place the filter and the lid.

Step 4
Stir a little with the paddle to mix and wait about 30 seconds more.

Step 5

Now it is time to cover the AeroPress. Put the filter and lid on and close the infusion chamber, making sure it is securely in place.

To remove the cellulose taste from the filter, we recommend that you moisten or wash the filter with hot water beforehand.

After approximately two minutes of waiting, you can turn the AeroPress upside down and place it over the container in which you are going to serve the coffee.

Gently press the plunger for about 30 - 45 seconds to allow the brew to filter into the container. The plunger creates a vacuum, which causes the high pressure to help generate a complete extraction.
